Four Months

Lila had her four-month check-up today. She weighs 13 pounds 13 ounces and measures 21 3/4 inches. It was time for more vaccinations. Right before the doctor started, Lila gave her a huge smile...and it broke the doctor's heart to have to give her four shots in the thighs. This time Lila really let us know that she was not a fan of the shots; I hope it's a while before we have to do that again.

A Visit from Abuelita

Abuelita was kind enough to fly in for a week to spend some time with us while Gabe had to do a little traveling for work. We covered a lot of ground in Brooklyn, include the Botanical Gardens and the Flea Market in Fort Greene. Uncle Nicky even came up from DC to join us for a couple of days.

Lila Does the Big Easy

The three of us flew down to New Orleans for our friend Ditty's wedding. Nick was also there, as were many of our friends from New York. Dad, Andi and Kenzie were kind enough to come over to keep an eye on the little peanut so Gabe and I could fully enjoy ourselves! And my Uncle Don and Aunt Nancy even made the trip down to NOLA to get in a little family time. The weather was gorgeous and the wedding was so much fun. What a great trip!

Uncle Nicky Moves to DC

Lila and I spent a couple of days helping Uncle Nicky pack up his things as he gets ready to take on a new job in Washington D.C. Several times Nick tried to pack Lila up with his belongings. Uncle Nicky, we're going to miss you so very much, but we promise to visit as much as we can. We love you!

Three Months

Today Lila had her 3-Month check-up. She now weighs 12 pounds 12 ounces, and measures 21 inches! She had a couple more shots, but took them really well. I have cut out her 10 pm feeding, so she's now eating every 3 hours for a total of 5 feedings a day. And after her 7 pm feeding, she sleeps through the night. In the last month she has become much more communicative--she's very chatty and expressive. She smiles a lot in response to people, and she's even laughed a few times. She's continued to be such a laid-back baby and for that I am so grateful.

Lila's First Passover

Lila's first Passover was great fun, even if she had no idea what was going on. We spent both nights in New Jersey with our cousins, The Kardos Family (extended). Lila got to meet the rest of the Kardos clan, along with Gabe's godparents, Marta and Michael, and their daughter, Nicole.Lila also got in some playtime with her cousin, Yael. Yael is super friendly--I just don't think Lila was quite ready for all of that love.
